Grade 6 Social Studies The Grade 6 Social Studies End-of-Course (EOC) Exam is intended to measure student proficiency of the New Mexico Social Studies Standards. This course-level exam is provided to all students who have completed a course in 6th Grade Social Studies. This exam can be given for the following STARS course codes: 2716 - 6th.

In Unit 3 we will be learning about the five themes of geography! It is critical that students understand this material in order to be successful as we progress throughout the year. We will use these themes to analyze other parts of the world and recognize the interconnectedness which exists.

Course Summary This Harcourt Social Studies - World History Textbook Companion Course uses simple and fun videos to help students learn world history and earn a better grade. The sixth grade curriculum typically concentrates on ancient history and world geography; it includes information about the origins and growth of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. But in the best classrooms, the social studies curriculum also continues to follow current events in the nation and the world. But sixth grade is also a time when kids are full of hope and idealism; it’s the right time for learning about a broader world in space and time.
