The Houston Texans lost at home on Sunday to the Bengals, 37-31, which was their fourth straight loss and dropped them to 4-11 in what has been a brutal season for a team that won a playoff game last year.
After the game Texans star J.J. Watt was asked about what it takes to finish up such a tough season. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year answered that question but going off on an emotional rant in which he explained why the players need to give it their all every week because it’s their job and that they owe it to the fans who spend so much of their time and money to support them.

When Texans defensive end J.J. Watt delivered an epic rant Sunday following an embarrassing loss to the Bengals, he appeared to call out some teammates' professionalism while not naming any names specifically.
One day later, Texans interim coach Romeo Crennel said he gets why Watt is upset.
'I can understand J.J.'s frustration because he has been in this league and been a very good player in this league for a while,' Crennel said Monday morning. 'I'm frustrated, because we're not winning. And that's what everybody cares about in this business.'
Crennel added that the 4-11 record has a lot to do with the atmosphere surrounding the team, but the coaches have done their best to maintain a good working environment.
'I think on a football team there's a lot of different characteristics about the team,' Crennel said. 'Generally, the team that has better characteristics win more than the teams that lose and we're a losing team. So, everything isn't perfect. We try to keep the focus together, try to keep them playing to the best of their ability. Sometimes, it looks good. Sometimes, it doesn't. When you're losing, nobody's very happy.'

“We're professional athletes getting paid a whole lot of money,” the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year said when asked how the team will handle itself in the season finale next Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. “If you can't come in and put work in in the building, go out to the practice field and work hard and do your lifts and do what you're supposed to do, you should not be here. This is a job. We are getting paid a whole lot of money.
