Email me directly to add a guitar. Hamer had two serial number systems: Four Digit serials and the standard production serials. Four Digit serials started with '0000' (Rick Nielsen's sunburst Standard) and ran to about 0750 between 12/74 and 1985. The production numbers started in 1977 with the introduction of the Sunburst model '7 0000'.
I have a hamer slammer guitar and i am trying to figure out what year it is only i cant find the serial number anyone know where ot is located Click to expand. There's a lot of Hamer Slammer models.

THE GUITARS

Hamer Guitar Lookup Series Are Korean. The Hamer Slammer series are Korean made with decent wood and are much nicer. Wow, I had no idea there were different Slammer series guitars. I didnt know they used a similar name for a higher line of guitars. Ive had several MIK Hamer Slammer Series guitars, and still own one. So I've been looking for a nice Hamer for a while, and I just found a sunburst Hamer archtop dc. However, as the owner is a big shop, they did not provide much detail about the guitar, just store policies. In one of the photos, I saw that the serial number was 7097771, and it was made in Korea. The next four or five digits are sequentially stamped in order of production. For example, serial number 7 0001 was built in 1977 and was the first production model guitar built. Similarly, 0 1964 was built in 1980 and was the 1,964th production guitar built. The serial numbering sequence by decade is indicated below: 1970s: 7 0001 - 9 1450.
